And the winner is…

I’ve selected Marymount University’s Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing / RN program.  I’m super excited to have been chosen as an eligible student for this well-established ABSN program.  It begins in late August 2014 and graduation will occur in December 2015.  Let the journey begin…

Hello Kanda, congrats on your admission to the schools. It’s a pleasure to read about your journey. May I ask why you decided not to attend Roseman? I recieved admission to the October cohort. Also, how do you plan out your time to be able to manage the multiple classes for the accelerated program?
I wish you the very best in this wonderful journey you have embarked on

Hello. It was a tough choice and I liked both programs. The structure of the one I’m in and the freedom with the one at Roseman. I ultimately choose this one because I thought, for me, I would prefer the structure of having to show up for class and thought that being able to make an appointment w/ a professor and come to their office in person would be better for me than communicating via email. I loved both and it was tough so either was a great choice/decision.
You must be very organized and stick to a strict schedule for either. I make a list of what is due each week, the friday before the next week. I also mapped out all exams, etc. due for the entire semester so that I have that at the forefront and not buried in the syllabi. Being able to check those things off the list is extremely helpful.
I’m sure you will do well w/ Roseman – enjoy your journey; I am loving mine even though it is quite busy. Hope that helps. -Kanda
